Spring in Orlando is a great time of year to visit if you want sunny weather and some warmer temperatures that range from an average of 19 °C to 25 °C (66 °F to 77 °F) across the three months. Rainfall during the spring months tends to be fairly low with an average of 11 days of rain each month with an average of less than 100mm of rainfall. During March to May you can expect as many hours of sunshine as you can during the summer months. For those fleeing from more temperate climates to the tropics, spring is the perfect time to visit Florida and enjoy soaking up the sun whilst sitting by our pool.
Most people associate the summer with blue skies and a lack of rainfall, but with the tropical climate of Florida, Orlando has the sun and the rain in high doses. Thunderstorms and rain tend to be intense but short, with the heat returning to dry up the downpours and dry out those caught in them. From June to August the average temperate in Orlando ranges from 27 °C to 28 °C (81 °F to 82 °F), with highs of 33 °C (91 °F) and lows of 22 °C (72 °F). The average number of days with rain during the three months is 24 (that’s 24 per month) and the average rainfall is at its highest in July with an average of 196mm, though both June and August have an average of around 170mm each.
This may sound like a lot but given the humidity and the short nature of the rainfall, it still means that Orlando is the perfect summer destination, just be sure to check the forecast to judge when the best days are to head to the water parks. Orlando experiences an average of 10 hours of sunshine during these three months, which makes long, warm evenings barbecuing on our patio the perfect way to the end the day.
Between September and November, the temperate drops dramatically, the average temperate in September for Orlando is 27 °C and drops down to 20 °C in November (81 °F and 68 °F respectively), though with the temperature drop, the likelihood of rain and the amount of rain also falls. September in Orlando sees an average of 20 days of rain with 160mm of rainfall whereas October only has an average of 13 days of rain with 86mm of rain, and November has an average of 10 days of rain with only 48mm of rainfall. The months of fall are not filled with leaves changing colour and falling from the trees in the tropics though and there are still 8 hours of sunshine to enjoy in the milder temperatures, which are still much warmer than many other northern destinations. This makes Orlando the perfect fall vacation destination for golfers, theme park enthusiasts and beachbums. The warm, but not hot temperatures make spending all day on the links in the sun, on the sand or walking around theme parks much more pleasant. You can also enjoy the sun by lazing on our extended deck that enjoys year round sunshine.
December to February are months which are perfect for those in the Northern hemisphere to escape the winter cold into the warmer climes of Florida. The average temperatures range from 17 to 15 degrees, so though it isn’t hot, it is warm enough to enjoy sitting out on bright, sunny days and even more pleasant when you take to the golf course or the theme parks. Though it is a peak time for golf in Florida, the theme parks are extremely quiet. So if you are looking to get your Disney or thrill fix and aren’t tied to vacationing in school holidays, then it is the perfect time to visit. Be warned though, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day are the busiest days of the year at Disney, and though the Christmas cheer and spectacle that the parks create is truly magical, the queue times and busy nature of the parks over these three days mean that you will see and get to do less. There are an average of 10 days of rain over the winter months with an average of 52 mm of rainfall in December rising to 82 mm of average rainfall in February.
